This subject is part of an integrated set of four subjects which are normally taken in the same semester of study at a partner institution in China. The exact sequencing of the subject material for each of the four subjects will be determined by the relevant Chinese institution. Students will be expected to build on and utilise language acquired in Business Chinese 3. Attention will be given to communication skills, different styles of language and appropriateness of language in specific situations. Important elements of Chinese society will continue to be studied in the context of the topics and students, in addition to enhancing their Chinese language skills, will be required to demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of elements of Chinese culture in terms of the history behind China's decision to adopt western accounting practices, the role of accounting standards, the structure of the career path for professional accountants and the nature and practice of business law in the

 Chinese context. Students taking this subject will normally have completed the foundation subjects of the Bachelor of Business.
