This subject is designed to provide students with an understanding of the collective aspects of industrial law in Australia. An examination will be made of the sources of industrial law, the constitutional basis of industrial law, the contents of a Federal Award, industrial organisations and industrial action, common law and legislative controls over industrial organisations and secondary boycott legislation. Also examines the wage fixation principles currently in place and enterprise bargaining.
