Enrolment Restriction: The subject is restricted to students enrolled in courses originating from Rural Management on the Orange Campus. Other students should consult with their Course Coordinator prior to seeking enrolment.
The subject facilitates the development and consolidation of elementary financial accounting knowledge and skills, and their application to sole trader businesses. The student's ability to apply the financial accounting process and derive, analyse and interpret financial statements will be developed using both manual and computerised double entry accounting systems. The subject also considers ethical behaviour in accounting practice, the importance of the Accounting Standards, and the elementary differences in financial statements for different business structures.
