ACT110 Masked Theatre (8)
A cross-cultural survey examining modelling techniques, and uses of the mask as a focus for social communication. A critical examination of 20th Century training regimes and performance theory is integrated with physical training and studio improvisations which are aimed at engaging the necessary skills and in-role perceptions for masked performance. Various materials and methods of construction are examined - each participant will create an original full-face mask.
