ACT211 Drama in Education (8)
Prerequisite: ACT107 or THM107
ACT211 introduces participants to a range of drama in education issues and practices associated with the NSW secondary drama curriculum.
An examination of process drama as it relates to techniques of improvisation, personal development and performance will be conducted. A range of practices concerning including in-role drama, teacher in role, effective interpersonal communication and physical presentation will be examined. A survey of drama methodology in education settings provides the theoretical base for practical work.
