HLT200 Introduction to Health Informatics (8)

This subject introduces students to the uses of information technology (IT) in health care. The application of IT to clinical record keeping, data retrieval, research, communication, decision support, and financial management will be examined. This subject facilitates the development of basic skills necessary for the use of information technology in the health care setting through various teaching-learning activities including electronic mailing lists (listservers), discussion forums and the World Wide Web.
