ITC359 Advanced Network Technologies (8)
Prerequisite: ITC355
Enrolment Restriction: Not available to students who have completed ITC512.
This subject is designed to provide students with experience in current and emerging networking technology. The subject provides students with the skills and practice needed to design, build and maintain small to medium sized networks. Students will also develop their skills in investigating, analysing and implementing emerging advanced networking technologies. The concepts covered in this subject will change as the emergence of networking technologies and trends change. Concepts that would be initially covered in this subject include: Scaling IP addresses, WAN technologies, Voice Over Internet Protocol, Network Quality of Service, IPv6, IP multicast and Peer to Peer networking protocols.
