Agricultural plants are studied within an ecological system and their natural growth cycle. An understanding of plant growth, development, structure and function provides the knowledge required to better manage and use plants as well as how to improve them. Plant performance factors such as climate, soils and nutrition, weeds and pests are also introduced.
This subject covers the major areas of plant science and diversity of plant families. This subject will provide the foundation of plant knowledge required for you to progress to more advanced plant management subjects.
