BIO401 River and Floodplain Ecology (8)
Enrolment Restriction: This subject is only available to students enrolled in Postgraduate study.
This subject is not available to students who have completed either BIO310 or BIO323.
This subject examines the diversity of freshwater habitats and introduces ecological models relevant to the management of freshwater ecosystems. At the residential school students will gain experience in field sampling techniques (flora and fauna), identification of organisms, measurement of stream metabolism, calculation of biotic indices and statistical analysis of ecological data.
