Captive Avian Management examines general principles of aviculture, emphasising the role of aviculture in reintroduction programs for conservation. Housing, husbandry, nutrition, diet, breeding, health and disease principles are examined as introductions to specialised avian enrichment studies. Case studies include captive breeding for conservation / reintroduction, and the care and rehabilitation of injured birds.
