Prerequisite: CHM107 and BMS130 or BMS128
This subject contains basic genetic principles and mechanisms with a focus on humans and theory of molecular biology. It introduces molecular biology tools and their application to mutation detection. Ethical issues related to research, social issues, prenatal diagnosis and screening are discussed using case studies as a focus.
