BMS253 Health and the Human Body - CardioVascular, Respiratory and Renal (8)
Prerequisite: BMS151
This subject challenges students to develop an holistic systems based understanding of human physiology. Students study in depth cardiac, respiratory, vascular and lymphatic physiology and pathophysiology. Students' understanding of haemodynamics is developed through studying renal function. Pharmacological agents used to control these systems are studied in some detail.
