Enrolment Restriction: Restricted to Biomedical Sciences postgraduate students
This subject provides an introduction to the methods and processes of quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), quality assurance management systems (including the ISO9000 series) and total quality management (TQM). The laboratory accreditation schemes run by the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Council (NPAAC) and the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) are covered as examples of the regulatory frameworks. This subject also provides an introduction to preparing for staff recruitment and project budgeting.
