This subject provides the framework for an examination of information literacy issues. The concerns of the subject centre on the nature of information, the nature of the autonomous learner, and the concept of information literacy. Why are these issues important and what approaches have been used to facilitate their attainment? The learner will be given the opportunity to apply the foregoing to a particular field of study.
