Police practitioners at every level require an applied understanding of contemporary corporate governance and accountability. Successful completion of this subject equips the practitioner to put into practice the commitment by governments to accountability, contestability and continuous improvement. The role of leadership in shaping and driving the commitment to continuous improvement in service delivery, performance measurement, transparent governance, and accountable processes, within a whole of government context is underlined. Best practice policies and systems are examined through case study.
