This subject introduces the principles of undertaking research in Business. The aim of the subject is to give some of the experience, confidence and skills needed in order to undertake or supervise research projects in business disciplines. The subject begins with an investigation into the philosophy of research and then examines how to plan and organise a research project. The subject provides an opportunity to learn the basics of two broad approaches to research: quantitative and qualitative research methods. The final topic in the subject will look at how to write up a research project.
