INF118 Professional Study Visit (2)
Prerequisite: INF100 and INF101
Enrolment Restriction: Not available to students who have completed subject INF108, or INF107. Available only to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts (Library and Information Science) or the Bachelor of Applied Science (Library & Information Management)or the Bachelor of Applied Science (Library and Information Management)/Bachelor of Information Technology
By giving students first hand experience of the variety of libraries and other information agencies through at least twenty hours of structured and supervised visits, this subject seeks to acquaint students with the diversity of institutions and approaches to be found within the library and information profession and to allow them to observe in operation concepts and practices of study in other subjects.
