This subject discusses briefly the importance of information in decision-making and ways in which information professionals enhance its value. It introduces a range of information access sources including library portals and subject databases. In seeking information students are expected to go beyond traditional sources, such as libraries and the Internet, develop their own subject feasibility topics for investigation and present a value-added report relating to their findings.
