Enrolment Restriction: Available only as a probation subject for the PhD.
The subject introduces the issues candidates are likely to confront in undertaking research for their dissertation or portfolio. It provides an overview of contexts within which enquiry is undertaken, and introduces candidates to the role and potential of research in information management and/or information technology. The subject focuses on research traditions and paradigms relevant to the candidate's research project, and the nature of the research process, including planning and designing a research project. Candidates study the use of qualitative and quantitative methods and their application to information management and/or information technology.
