ITC213 Computer Supported Collaborative Work (8)
Prerequisite: ITC161 or ITC125 or ITC129
Enrolment Restriction: Not available to students who have completed subject ETL529
This subject introduces students to social and technology issues as participants in online communities, and provides a focus for discussion and application of computer supported cooperative work (CSCW) within students' workplace environments. Students will explore various cognitive frameworks used in CSCW software systems, and understand the principles underpinning the design and building of workgroup specific infrastructures to support successful workflow and human interaction. This subject requires regular and compulsory student collaboration with others using CSCW tools.
