Enrolment Restriction: Available to students in the ITmasters postgraduate courses in ICT Education only. Students in other courses may seek approval from either the course coordinator, subject coordinator, or the head of the teaching school as appropriate.
This subject introduces students to social and technology issues as participants in online communities, and provides a focus for discussion and application of computer supported cooperative work (CSCW) and social networking within students' workplace environments. Students will explore various cognitive frameworks used in CSCW software systems, and understand the principles underpinning the design and building of workgroup specific infrastructures to support successful workflow and human interaction. This subject requires regular and compulsory student collaboration with others using CSCW tools.
