This subject is designed to extend the student's understanding of basic computer networking and security in the context of a server. It enables students to gain skills in configuring client and network services; script programming; network security including data encryption technologies, security policies, firewalls, cryptographic techniques, network intrusion detection systems, ethics and privacy.
