MGT520 Entrepreneurship and New Venture Development (8)
Enrolment Restriction: Post Graduate students only.
This subject analyses the behaviour of entrepreneurs and their role in the development of innovative and new business ventures. The approach to entrepreneurship centres on a resource-based theory of sustained competitive advantage. This theory is then applied to an analysis of the macroeconomic and specific industrial environments of the new entrepreneurial venture, to the recognition of entrepreneurial opportunities both domestically and overseas, and to the formulation of appropriate strategies and written business plans that enable the entrepreneur to enter and compete within a challenging business environment.
