This subject focuses on the role and function of the Chaplain in institutional and workplace settings; the development of a theological framework for chaplaincy; exploration of professional and personal issues and their bearing upon ethical practice; the goals and tasks of the chaplain; and the challenging issues that arise in the chaplaincy context. In conjunction with MIN451 Ministry Professional Practice this subject integrates theological reflection with theory, professional issues, vocational observations and professional practice.
