OCC103 Communication for Occupational Therapy Practice (8)
Prerequisite: HLT101
Enrolment Restriction: Student must be enrolled in Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
This subject develops written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on the language of health professions. Specific occupational therapy communication tasks and skills are addressed including writing treatment plans and reports and communicating with people who have communication difficulties or use assisted communication. A component of the subject includes 75 hours of supervised occupational therapy fieldwork.
