This subject is concerned with the philosophical basis for contemporary ideas about justice. Starting with an analysis of differing accounts of what justice is and its philosophical justification, the subject continues with a study of differing conceptions of justice. The subject concludes with an examination of a number of specific issues in the light of these theories, eg. age, gender, race and ethnicity, third world relations
