POD311 Clinical Podiatric Practice 3B (8)
Prerequisite: POD301 and POD302
Corequisite: POD313 and POD314
As a continuation of Podiatric Practice 1, this subject further extends students' clinical experience. As a member of a clinical team, the student will undertake the management of the whole, or part of the, case, according to the skill levels required. Students will also participate in the running of the clinic as a practice, applying their understanding of practice and resource management, communication and peer teaching and learning. In addition to the treatment of patients at the University clinic, students will undertake rotation through a number of specialist clinics and private facilities. In association with the theoretical studies in diagnostic and therapeutic sciences, students will have the opportunity to practise and refine their clinical skills in a controlled and supportive environment.
