POD403 Clinical Podiatric Residency (16)
Prerequisite: POD306 and POD307 and POD308 and POD312 and POD315 and POD316

Enrolment Restriction: Bachelor Of Podiatry and Bachelor of Podiatry (Honours)
This is a clinically based subject where students are required to gain experience in the management and treatment of clinical cases. They will be expected, under collaborative supervision, to refine their skills and abilities in patient assessment, diagnostic decision-making and treatment, and preventative and palliative methods and procedures. Students will also be required to demonstrate the emergence of entry level professional and clinical competence. Students will complete a 70 hour transition to residency clinical placement followed by three 8-week blocks of clinical placement . Each week will consist of 22.5 hours of clinical placement. The placement program will conclude with an additional consolidation placement of 50 hours to provide a total of 660 hours of placement for the subject.
