Enrolment Restriction: Not available to students enrolled in the BSc Forensic Biotechnology
This subject acquaints students with developments at the frontiers of biotechnology, with special reference to the regulation of, potential hazards and bioethical dilemmas posed by the new technologies. Issues associated with intellectual property and biotechnology entrepreneurship will be examined under the context of development/commercialisation of new biotechnology innovations. The subject will allow the students to develop high level communication skills via participation in research teams, development of projects and critical reports .
