This subject focuses on the purpose, provenance and theology of the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. Central theological themes explored include the plan of God, Jesus as Messiah, the Holy Spirit, eschatology, salvation, the church, prayer, and inclusiveness. The subject also examines social dimensions of Lukan theology such as table fellowship, poverty and wealth, and gender and ethnic distinctions.
