Prerequisite: THL105 and (THL202 or THL209)
This subject surveys the prophetic literature of the Old Testament. It places this literature in its historical, social, political and religious contexts, and explores issues associated with its interpretation. The subject examines the major theological and ethical themes within the prophetic writings, and considers their contemporary relevance. Exegetical competence is developed through a close analysis of selected texts.
