THL313 Feminist Theology (8)

Prerequisite: THL111
This subject examines reasons for the rise of feminist theology. It traces the history and development of feminist theology through its first, second and third waves. Feminist theology challenges traditional theology in its patriarchal and androcentric forms and offers constructive reworkings of theology. The critical and constructive contribution of feminist theology concerning theological method, scripture, revelation, God, Christ, spirituality, theological anthropology, and the church are explored. The tensions and challenges within feminist theology are investigated throughout.
