Prerequisite: THL400 and THL420
Enrolment Restriction: Restricted to students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma of Pastoral Counselling, Master of Arts (Pastoral Counselling) and Master of Ministry who have met the required prerequisites.
This subject defines and examines the nature of pastoral counselling in relation to trauma and crisis intervention. A background to understanding trauma and its potential impact on individuals is given. Models of crisis intervention are examined, together with appropriate pastoral responses, skills training and professional issues.
