This subject examines mental health and illness issues in the context of providing effective pastoral care to older adults. Issues of faith and finding meaning will be explored in relation to depression, dementia and other mental health issues in later life. Pastoral counselling strategies that assist in promoting quality of life for these people will be studied in this subject.
