THL462 Theological Perspectives on Ageing (8)
Prerequisite: THL445 and THL446 and THL451 and THL459
This subject engages students in an examination of the processes of ageing and dying from Christian theological perspectives. It considers theological views of the human person, the basis of human dignity and worth, stages of spiritual maturity, and humour in old age. Theological perspectives on illness, loss, suffering and death, and Christian eschatology (hope, judgement, heaven and hell), will also be examined.
