The aim of this course is to prepare students to move from management and supervisory positions into senior management, executive and CIO roles within the IT industry. The course will provide educational opportunities to information professionals for the 21st century, as the world moves from an economy of stand-alone companies to interdependent enterprises connected by the products of a global information infrastructure. The needs of existing IT managers who aspire to move upward into senior management positions will be catered to with the emphasis on exploiting information technologies for productivity and competitiveness.

Admission criteria
Applicants are required to have:
- An undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution and/or an equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of three years relevant work experience.
Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Management (Information Technology) if they can demonstrate they have a minimum of 7 years appropriate professional/managerial work experience. Upon successful completion, students may apply for admission to the MBA (Computing) and receive credit for applicable subjects.
Professional recognition
At the time of publication acccreditation with the Project Management Institute was being sought in addition to the various industry certificates which form part of the course.
Graduation requirements*
To graduate a student must satisfactorily complete 96 point.
