Admission criteria

Applicants would normally hold a three year Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline or have extensive relevant industry experience to the satisfaction of the course coordinator. Students wishing to apply for admission based on relevant industry experience should discuss requirements with the course coordinator prior to applying.

Credit

Students who complete the Master's stream in the Bachelor of Environmental Science (with specialisations), receive 32 points of credit on transfer.

Articulation

The Graduate Certificate (exit point only) and Graduate Diploma (exit point only) articulate with the Master degree and credit is awarded in the Master degree for the Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certficate subjects.

Graduation requirements*

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 96 points.

Course structure

The course consists of twelve subjects for the Master degree, the first four comprise the Graduate Certificate exit point and the first eight comprise the Graduate Diploma exit point. Subjects can be substituted with the approval of the Course Coordinator

Students entering the course from the Master's stream of the Bachelor of Environmental Science (with specialisations) will have completed the requirements of the Graduate Certificate (exit point) and will enrol in subjects listed under Graduate Diploma (exit point) but will not be able to graduate with the Graduate Certificate. Other students entering the Master of Environmental Management without the Master stream of the Bachelor of Environmental Science (with specialisations) or equivalent must enrol in subjects listed under the Graduate Certificate course structure.
