This subject explores policy development since 1990 within the VET context. It discusses the social and economic imperatives which shape VET and the strong orientation to social justice and equity which is embedded in VET policy. It especially looks at the responsibility of those who work within VET to meet the individual vocational and industry needs of its students and industry groups.
