ESS423 Designing and Managing the Inclusive Learning Environment (8)

Enrolment restrictions: Graduate Certificate in Education (Inclusive Education), Graduate Diploma of Inclusive Education, Master of Education (Inclusive Education) or as determined by Course Coordinator.
This subject places the traditional focus of student behaviour management within a broader context of a comprehensive and integrated approach to the design of differentiated learning environments. This includes the development and management of instructional groups, the active and positive engagement of students in managing and implementing the instructional process and strategies for building positive engagement with the learning environment. The subject examines both pro-active and reactive approaches to behaviour management within ecological, cognitive and behavioural theories. These approaches are examined from the perspective of all educators as applied in inclusive learning environments.
