This subject will examine and analyse the practice of industrial relations and human resource management within the tourism industry. A broad framework will be used to analyse specific challenges associated with managing and working in the tourism industry in Australia. The subject will identify the various participants in the tourism employment relationship, the major issues that concern them and the processes they can use to resolve conflict, codify practice and set employment standards.
