The Business Studies courses have been introduced to meet the demand for flexible, generalist, open learning undergraduate degrees in business. The courses draw upon the extensive portfolio of subjects already developed by the Faculty of Business, the subject offerings of other faculties of CSU and any tertiary study a student may previously have undertaken. The courses allow students to construct a program of study that they, individually, consider will best meet their future needs.
It allows them to select the skills, knowledge and attributes that they believe will be required of them upon graduation and which are inherent in the existing subjects upon which they will build their program of study. Students may enter the Business Studies courses without any tertiary experience or be admitted from an approved range of domestic and international programs in both business and non-business areas with credit.
The Bachelor of Business Studies can be completed on campus or via distance education through CSU. In additional an integrated program is offered in conjunction with TAFE at Albury-Wodonga, Griffith and Wagga Wagga. This integrated program allows students to be enrolled concurrently in the Bachelor of Business Studies and the TAFE Advanced Diploma of Business Management. Students completing the integrated program take out both the CSU and TAFE awards.
An articulated program offered through the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is also available. Students complete an approved program through CIT and then complete the remaining CSU subjects while still enrolled at CIT. Students completing this program graduate with the both CIT and CSU awards.
Charles Sturt University also offers the Bachelor of Business Studies through its Sydney and Melbourne study centres, operated in conjunction with Study Group Australia. Students should contact the Course Coordinator for further information.
An option is available for students to transfer into the Bachelor of Business (specialisation) after the successful completion of the first year of study in the Bachelor of Business Studies.

Credit
Students in the Bachelor of Business Studies are entitled to credit if they have completed approved subjects. Approved subjects will include subjects studied within 10 years of admission to the degree in applicable TAFE courses, Charles Sturt University subjects already counted towards another qualification, or subjects in relevant programs conducted by approved private providers. Credit is normally granted for subjects completed in relevant certificates and diplomas. Subjects completed in overseas qualifications will also be considered for credit towards the Bachelor of Business Studies degree.
Students in the University Certificate in Business Studies are not entitled to credit, as the University does not allow credit in University Certificate courses.
Articulation
The University Certificate and the Associate Degree form an articulated set of courses with the Bachelor degree, and credit is given in each higher level course for subjects completed in a lower level course in the set.
Graduation requirements*
To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 192 points for the Bachelor degree, or 128 points for the Associate Degree, or 64 points for the University Certificate.
