Master of Information Technology

Up to 4 subjects credit may be issued for the 400 level subjects within the Graduate Diploma of Information Technology or the Master of Information Technology for a student with an Australian bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent.

Graduate Diploma of Information Technology

Up to 4 subjects credit may be issued for the 400 level subjects within the Graduate Diploma of Information Technology or the Master of Information Technology for a student with an Australian bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent.

Graduation requirement

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 96 points.

Graduate Diploma of Information Technology

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.

Course structure

Graduate Diploma of Information Technology

The Graduate Diploma consists of an Information Technology core comprising four subjects and four Information Technology electives.

Enrolment pattern

Because of the flexibility of the course requirements, there is no prescribed enrolment pattern. Students may choose the order in which they undertake subjects, depending upon the availability of subjects and the meeting of any pre-requisites.

Students are encouraged to enrol in core subjects in the initial sessions and attempt to complete as many of these as possible before selecting strand subjects.

Articulation

The Graduate Diploma articulates with the Master (MInfoTech) degree and credit is awarded in the Master degree for the Graduate Diploma subjects.

Professional recognition

The Master of Information Technology has been accredited by the Australian Computer Society as meeting the academic requirements for full professional membership.
