Abstract: This subject gives the student the opportunity to investigate in depth an area of personal interest in relation to sustainable agriculture. This is the capstone subject in the sustainable agriculture program for students and is designed to develop skills in building a research question, formulating strategies to answer that question, and gathering evidence to develop a well reasoned treatise that addresses the research question.
The Sustainable Agriculture Dissertation principally involves an evaluation of information from a wide range of sources enabling students to formulate a view or perspective on a chosen topic relating to sustainable agriculture. Field studies may be included but are not expected and would be a minor component.
