CSU Discipline Area: Human Services
Abstract: Health and well-being in later life are the central themes of this subject. To illustrate these themes, the subject examines theoretical and practical issues associated with the life-style choice and self-determination of older adults. Four topic areas are elucidated: nutrition and ageing; education and learning in later life; reminiscence and ageing; and work and ageing. In addition, students will have the opportunity to select an additional topic area in their field of specialisation or interest.
