Abstract: This subject aims to examine how information systems can be used to achieve a company's strategic objectives. After studying business strategic planning, tools and techniques of analysis are examined that allow new technologies and applications to be examined for effectiveness within a business environment. The need for information systems strategic planning is analysed within the modern environment of industry and commerce so that alignment and optimisation of technology investment can be achieved.
