Abstract: This subject examines the leisure and health needs of a variety of diverse populations. It introduces students to different types of leisure programming for individuals, groups and communities. Attitudes towards people with disabilities are explored as well as strategies to promote social inclusion through community leisure and recreation participation. The concepts of programming for leisure are introduced at the initial level of planning, implementation and evaluation. The subject is designed to have students become actively involved in programming leisure opportunities for people with specific needs.
