Admission criteria
To be eligible for admission, applicants must have been awarded, or be eligible to graduate with the Bachelors Degree in a health discipline, or an equivalent qualification from another recognised tertiary institution. Normally, to be eligible, a student must have completed 50% of their second and third level subject points at a grade of credit (CR) or better, have no fail (FL) grades in level 2 and 3 subjects, and have completed of the degree in minimum time.

Standard CSU Credit regulations apply.
Graduation requirement
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.
Course structure
The course consists of a 64 points, one year full-time or two-year part-time, with a specialisation in a particular research area. The honours project/dissertation component is 32 points. The course comprises of:
- research coursework program (16 points)
- research development component (16 points)
- research dissertation (32 points)

Two 8 point (or one 16 point) level 4 or level 5 'health' coursework subject(s) which are aimed at enhancing the students knowledge in areas directly related to their area of research interest. Must be approved by the course coordinator on the recommendation of the supervisory team.
