Normal course duration
Full-time 2.0 years (4.0 sessions)
Minimum completion Master = 1.0 Doctorate = 2.0 minimum Maximum completion Doctorate = 8.0 maximum (includes Master) Note: All students recieve a 64 point credit package for the completion of the Master degree.
Admission criteria
Admission to Part 1 (Master of Social Work (Advanced Practice)(coursework version)) or Master of Social Work (Advanced Practice)(Couple and Family Therapy).
Candidates for admission to the master component of the program shall have an undergraduate degree in social work.
Admission to Part 2 (Doctor of Social Work)
Candidates for admission to the doctoral component of the program shall:
- have completed the Master of Social Work (coursework version), Master of Social Work (Advanced Practice)(Couple and Family Therapy)or a Master of Social Work or equivalent from another institution; and
- have achieved a credit average in their master level study. This means that a grade lower than a credit may be offset with a grade higher than a credit.

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 192 points.
Course structure
The course consists of two components, a master and a doctoral degree. Students will receive a credit package of 64 points towards the Doctorate on successful completion of the master degree.
