Admission criteria

Graduate Diploma of Adult and Vocational Education

Applicants must hold an appropriate degree (i.e. undergraduate Bachelor degree) from a recognised university and have a minimum of one year relevant industrial experience or equivalent.

Graduate Certificate in Adult and Vocational Education [exit point only]

Students are admitted to the Graduate Diploma of Adult and Vocational Education. The Graduate Certificate in Adult and Vocational Education is an exit point only, therefore admission criteria do not apply.

Credit

Graduate Diploma of Adult and Vocational Education

For students who have completed the TAA40104 or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment a standard credit package will be issued. This is represented as VET03C - TAA40104 / TAE40110 Certificate IV Credit - 24 subject points and will appear as a FCR conditional upon the successful completion of EEB312 Reflective Practice and Lifelong Learning.
(NOTE: Student must have completed the TAA40104 or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and provided a copy of their Certificate and transcript prior to enrolling in EEB312)

Formal arrangements for the award of the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40110) have been made with CSU Training.

Articulation

The Graduate Diploma and the Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.

Graduation requirement

Graduate Diploma of Adult and Vocational Education

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.

Graduate Certificate in Adult and Vocational Education [exit point only]

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 32 points.

Course structure

Graduate Certificate in Adult and Vocational Education - Exit Point Only

To exit with the Graduate Certificate in Adult and Vocational Education a total of four subjects (32 subject points equivalent) comprised of any combination of subjects from the following list must be successfully completed.

Graduate Diploma of Adult and Vocational Education

The course consists of 64 points (equivalent to eight 8-point subjects) comprising seven core subjects and one restricted Elective subject. To graduate students need to complete a total of 64 points. Students who do not hold a current Training and Assessment Qualification (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAA401 4 or TAE401 0) will complete the full program as detailed in the list of the following subjects:
