Admission criteria

Graduate Diploma of Theology

Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree from an approved tertiary institution, other than an undergraduate degree in Theology.

Credit

Graduate Diploma of Theology

No special arrangements apply.

Transfer Credit will not be given for subjects that are in the Master of Ministry (with the exception of THL426), Master of Arts (Pastoral Counselling) articulated set, Master of Arts (Ageing and Pastoral Studies) articulated set, or the Master of Arts (Public and Contextual Theology) (with the exception of THL486) articulated set offered by the University. This is due to their practical (or ministry) focus rather than the theological nature of those subjects.

Credit may be considered for theological, biblical, mission and pastoral, and church history subjects successfully completed at other institutions at the graduate level.

Articulation

The Graduate Diploma and the Graduate Certificate [exit point only] make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.

Graduate Certificate in Theology [exit point only]

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 32 points.
